Operator tracking & poka-yoke
Tools, hands and parts followed in the station, so a step cannot be skipped or done in the wrong place.
The problem
Manual assembly depends on people, and people skip steps, change the order, or torque the same bolt twice. Steel fixtures for every variant cost more and change slower than the products.
How we solve it
OXO tracks tagged tools and gloves with infrared sensing, up to 1 mm, and turns each step green only when the work is done in the right place for long enough. A new variant is a new program, not a new fixture.
Where millimetre precision is not needed, AI cameras track the operator instead. Either way, the station guides each step and keeps a record of every cycle.
What changes
- Steps verified as they happen, not inspected afterwards
- Wrong position and repeated work stopped at the station
- A record of every step, retry and warning
Products used
OXO · Digital poka-yoke
Tracks tools, parts and operators in the assembly station to within a millimetre and verifies each step as it happens.
Explore OXOOXO-DETECT · AI camera inspection
Cameras and AI models set up for your part check every part; results and images are kept by the rules you choose.
